    Question

I'm going to make a short movie next week, and for one scene I need a tank full of blood. The tank is 200 cm X 70 cm with a depth of 50 cm. I need a lot of fake blood to fill this tank and I don't think the blood tips on this site will help.
Does anybody have any good ideas for a cheap blood mix to fill a tank that is this big?
Is there perhaps something I can mix with water?

Kool aid? Ketchup? A red dye used on jeans?

Try getting red powder-paint and mix it up with water until you get it looking dark and thick enough. If you add a touck of black, it might look a bit better.
    Mix it REALLY well.

If powder paint doesn't work, try some poster paint.

    Just been thinking,
If you get the hair dyd (red, obviously) and use that, it works pretty well.
My wife was dying her hair red, and the bathroom looked like a scene from psyco!

    It MIGHT work....

Water, Sugar and Food Colouring mixed together generally gives a good effect. Use black and red mixed together, that should give a more realistic deep red look.

    Kinda long but...

Red and Blue or Black Food Coloring
Make a paste with some flour, then add that
Karo Syrup, the cheaper the better
And some warm water, add until you get the right thickness, that was a proffesional tip, gotta mix it right ot get it to work though,
